The definition of Empowerment is to give authority or power.  The Merriam-Webster Dictionary

“The best executive is the one who has sense enough to pick good men to do what he wants done, and self-restraint enough to keep from meddling with them while they do it.”  ~Theodore Roosevelt

To understand what Empowerment is, let’s find out what it isn’t.

1.  Having fear, worry or doubt, thinking you are less than.

2.  Not willing to change

3.  Low Self-Esteem, Low Self-Worth

4.  Putting other down

5.  Being Selfish

6.  Lack of Leadership

7.  Lack of Confident

Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep.  Romans 12:15

These are only some of the thing that will stop or slow growth of Empowerment.  The key is to Empower others.

When we empower others, we get so much more back.  God said it is better to give than receive.

To be able to Empower others,  you have to really like people.  If you don’t,  it will show through your body language, tone and you will be labeled fake.

That brings us to trust, respect these are more keys to Empowerment.  Great Leadership and Confident begin with being trustworthy and trusting others.  In order to give respect, you must respect yourself to respect others.

For example:  You are driving on 285 and someone cut you off?  What will you do?  If you let it go and not respond.  That’s showing respect for yourself and the other person.  We have to look at people as through they were.
